Every Friday night they do fireworks on Waikiki Beach. What luck then that I was there on a Friday to enjoy the show. It was the closest I'd been to the launch point of fireworkds for a while, but more than that it was excellent because the sky was truly black behind them. No light pollution, not even any clouds. So I set up my tripod and set a fast shutter.
